Since 2019, in his quest for Haiti's stability and progress, Dr Julio Volcy has met with numerous national and international political leaders, as well as representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH). He has also attended CARICOM meetings in Haiti and Jamaica, as well as meetings with the UN Secretary-General, the USAID Administrator, and various ambassadors accredited in Haiti.
Dr. Volcy's leadership is inspired by values such as love for others, respect for others, and a constant search for new ways to bring healing to the nation of Haiti. He is the President and CEO of Haiti Teen Challenge (HTC), an organization that aims to transform Haitian youth into leaders of integrity for the country through the power of the Holy Spirit and transformational leadership.
Haiti Teen Challenge is committed to mentoring and supporting young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods, some of whom were engaged in criminal activities, such as handling firearms, usage of life-controlling substances and prostitution. HTC guides them toward a path of honest and constructive citizenship, where they can fully serve their country. The organization provides a safe and structured 18-month residential environment and long-term alumni support, where these young people can acquire functional skills, education, and values that will help them become productive members of society. By transforming the lives of these young people, Pastor Volcy and HTC contribute to building a better future Haiti.
The founding and lead pastor of Rendez-Vous Churches, he has used a model to create a church network which includes "Media Legliz La", with a vision to be a bridge of leadership and technology for Haitian churches globally. Julio uses his platform to encourage his members to invest in community development, the next generation, and democratic values. He has also founded schools, youth programs, and social enterprises throughout the greater Port-au-Prince area.
He is the author of the book "Haiti, Beyond Limits" and has published more than a dozen articles on leadership, personal motivation, and how to engage the next generation of leaders in national affairs. He believes in an active role for faith-based leaders in national affairs and promotes a national consensus for Haiti's tuture.
As a speaker and influencer, Dr. Volcy speaks at regional and global leadership events, sharing his message with various audiences in Haiti and internationally.
He mentors young Haitian leaders and advises several religious organizations, businesses, and political leaders in Haiti, the Caribbean region, the United States, Canada, Africa and South Korea..
Prior to Haiti Teen Challenge and Rendez Vous Church, Dr. Volcy also served as president at Hope International, associate pastor at Haitian Ministry an Atlanta based church and sernior pastor of Hope Community Church in the state of Florida.
Pastor Volcy holds a Doctorate in ministry from the Christian Life School of Theology & Seminary, a master's degree in leadership from Beacon University, and an undergraduate degree in Biblical studies. His vision for public service has also led him to take additional courses in subjects such as public administration, management, negotiation, and cultural intelligence.
